Garbage

This book contains so many errors and typos that it is almost useless. Certainly they should have the errors worked out by the sixth edition... Not to mention the $200+ price tag.

OK text, sloppy proofreading

Pretty much all textbooks come out with a new edition every few years just so they can charge a fortune for the book; while they're playing that game, the least they can do is proofread the book. I usually use the odd-numbered problems (with the answers in the back of the book) to check myself to see if I understand what I'm doing, or to prepare for exams. Unfortunately, I have already come across a number of errors in this book, and also a few typographical errors in the problems. That's just sloppy. That being said, the text does a reasonable job of explaining most concepts, so 2 stars seems a little stingy. I'd give it 2 1/2 if that was an option.

$180 of incorrect equations and sloppy proofreading

An incredible amount of errors, to the point you have to question if the homework problem you've been given asks the question it wants to correctly, or if the equations in the book are correct. After having the book just 2 months, I've come across more obvious errors than I ever have my entire college career.
You might be better off grabbing the older edition, as it may be more correct! Read carefully and judge every page of the book if you do buy this.
